update

Finally, the desk top is now back on-line, mum's car is sold, had our holidays at home (including Zoo, Farm, Train to Derry, HamiltonsBawn, Ballymena, Coleraine, Cheeky Chimps, Beach, and los more), and back to work. It has all been compounded by lack of sleep and being lent season two of Battlestar Gallactica.
So here are some photos to make this more interesting.
These pictures are take from the train to Derry, and yes, it is that close to the beach.
And various of the zoo and the girls (I will let you figure it out)

Over activity week

The desk top wireless is still out, and I sem to be thrown from BY voyager help line and the e-machine help line, but thought I shoould blogg anyway. Last week was the Cornerstone activity week, usuaally a busy week, but compounded with St Paul's asking for our help in there Holiday Bible Club in the mornings. Great to be busy just before holidays.
This is the first time the Garvagh's local Church of Ireland has run a Holiday Bible Club, but the new minister is wanting to make an impact in the community (he is hoping to organise guitar lessons later in the year for the community). He brought in the local CEF man to help, and the locl Cornerstone youth workers. Good week, and it was lovely to see the adults in the congregation help out, and to turn from frightened conscripts to confident volunteers.
The Activity week was probably the best we have had for a few years, mainly because of the young people on it (i only wanted to strangle two by the end of the week). It was a mixture of games (church hall, forrest and beach) and activities (banana boating, lagan vally pool and pirates adventure golf). The best bit was the sandcastle compotition on the beach. We never thought the teenagers would keep it up two hours.
The teens we got for the week are traditionally not from the drop-in, mainly because the guys in he drop-in are too scared of what may happen in an uncontrollable (for them) environmant. This year we have had one of the drop-in, and this will, hopefuly, encourage others to join-in next year.
