Baptism

Katherine had her Baptism today.
I was worried that she would cry alot, but both our kids were very well behaves.
In the service after the commitment promises from Julie and myself, and the congregation (who mumbled in the traditional way) Kenneth sprinkles water, we sing the Aaronic blessing and then presents Katherine to the congregation by taking her down ine aisle, and up the other. Really nice.
I wore my hatches/matches/dispatches suit, to the hilarity of the Bible Class.
It was really nice having friends and family round for lunch (shepherds pie) and chat ( and out witting Laura was abonus).
Charlotte had her second cousin, Rachel, here, who is a similar age, and they both had a ball.
Screams of delight resouinded roundf the house as they jumped on the bed, played with the toy kitchen, read stories and generally had fun. When it came to blowing out the baptism cake, Charlotte told Rachel taht she couldn't blow out the candels as it wasn't her birthday. A bit ahead of yourself there, girl.
Katherine, when she finally woke, girggled and smiled at everyone, while lookinbg as cute a a button.
